NOT BY NAYSAYERS

“But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.” (Matthew 15: 23)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

When the woman of Canaan came to Jesus to cry for mercy, the disciples told Jesus to send her away, as she had become a nuisance to them. Her cries had become a nuisance to the disciples of Jesus, and they pleaded that she be sent away, empty handed, without her miracle. They probably remembered that she was not of the lost sheep of the house of Israel, she was not amongst the favoured, and they asked for her to go away.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every voice of naysayers speaking against your advancement, I command them to shut up by fire. Every voice of haters that are spoiling the minds of your helpers, I command them to shut up by fire. Every voice that is disconnecting you from your helpers, I silence them by fire. Every voice that is shutting you out of the opportunities you need, I command them to shut up by fire.

Notice that eventually, Jesus showed mercy on that woman. He did not send her away, and when she would eventually leave, she didn’t leave empty handed. The voices of her naysayers did not prevail. Hear me as I hear the Lord: the voices of your naysayers will not prevail over you. The voices of those that are against you will not be louder than the voice of mercy. The voices of those that are saying no will not prevail over you.

Go and announce to those who have already written you off, that God is yet to conclude the chapters of your life. Go and announce to your haters and mockers, that God has your new season unfolding in a matter of time. Those who tried to talk you out of your good news will still be there to watch it happen. Those who tried to talk your helpers out of helping you, will still be there to see them help you. Your mockers will be disappointed.

As surely as the Lord lives, no voice of haters and naysayers will disconnect you from the goodness of God around you.

1 Samuel 2: 3 says: “Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.”

Declare With Me: My naysayers will not talk me out of my good news, in Jesus’ name!
