NO MORE DARKNESS

“And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.” (Acts 12: 7)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

When the angel of the Lord turned up in the prison where Peter was held, a great light shined in the prison. It was night and it was most probably dark in that prison, but the angel turned up and caused light to shine. Herod may have succeeded in keeping Peter in the dark, but the angel turned up and first dealt with the darkness. The angel put an end to darkness for Peter. The angel came, and there was no more darkness.

Friend, I decree, in this season and beyond, there will be no more darkness around you. There will be no darkness in your health; there will be no darkness in your family; there will be no darkness in your finances; there will be no darkness in your dwelling; there will be no darkness in your inner man; there will be no darkness in the works of your hands; there will be no darkness in your lineage; there will be no darkness in your generation.

Whatever darkness the enemy put on you and yours ends now; whatever darkness the enemy has clothed you with, ends now; whatever darkness the enemy has projected against you to keep you out of visibility ends now; whatever darkness the enemy put on you to ensure that you remain obscure, ends now; whatever darkness the enemy put on you to ensure that your destiny remains under cover, ends now.

Your light has come; the glory of the Lord is risen upon you; the Lord has become your everlasting light; you will not dwell in darkness anymore; light has come to set you free from darkness; light has come to announce you to your generation; light has come to make you shine brighter and brighter; light has come to give you visibility; light has come to take you out of bondage; light has come to lift you higher than you have ever been.

Welcome to your new season where the light of God will take out every darkness around you. The Lord is your everlasting light. You will not be in darkness.

Isaiah 60: 20 says: “Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.”

Declare With Me: The Lord is my light; I will not dwell in darkness, in Jesus’ name!
