YOU WON’T BE DEFEATED

“And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.” (Revelations 12: 3)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, mention is made about the seven heads of the dragon, upon which the dragon had seven crowns. Crowns in this narrative would be suggestive of previous victories for the dragon. So, the dragon had prevailed in past battles and conquests. Notice that the dragon eventually lost the battle against this woman. The dragon may have had victory in other battles, but he lost the battle against the woman.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you have entered a new season, and nothing that belongs to you will be touched by the kingdom of darkness. It doesn’t matter how many times the enemy already prevailed; he will lose every battle against you. The enemy will lose every battle against your health; he will lose every battle against your family; he will lose every battle against your greatness; he will lose every battle against you.

Hear me as I hear the Lord: others may have been defeated by the enemy, but in your own case, he will fail. The power of darkness will not prevail over you. No sickness will prevail over you. No conspiracy will prevail over you. No power of hell will have the upper hand in your life. No matter how successful the enemy has been in unleashing his wickedness against anyone, he will never prevail over you. The gates of hell will never prevail.

Jesus already defeated the enemy on the cross; and the victory of Jesus is also your victory. If Jesus already defeated the enemy, then you have no business being defeated by the same enemy. Even if the devil has defeated all those around you, you will not be defeated. You bear in your body the mark of Christ Jesus; you are the ransomed of the Lord; you are God’s workmanship; you are made in the image of a victorious God.

Welcome to your season of constant victory over the enemy. Welcome to that season where the enemy will never prevail over you.

1 John 3: 8 says: “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”
