THE SAME DEVIL

“And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.” (Revelations 12: 3)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
Our Focal Scripture makes mention of a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns. This dragon was later identified as the devil, and Satan. So, despite having seven heads and ten horns, it was the same devil with his same strategies. Despite having what seemed like differing manifestations, it was the same Satan. The hydra-headedness of the dragon didn’t change the fact that it was the same being with same mode of operation.
Friend, no matter how hydra-headed the enemy manifests, it is the same enemy with his strategies. Whether the enemy manifests in your family or marriage or finances or health or business or ministry, he is the same enemy who is said to be going about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. No matter how the enemy manifests, he is the same that shows up to steal, kill and destroy. The multiplicity of satanic manifestations does not change the fact that it is the same devil.
In Luke 10 vs. 19, Jesus says, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you”. If you have embraced the redemptive work of Christ, then you have power to trample upon snakes and scorpions and dragons and over every power of the enemy. No matter the strategy of the enemy, your assignment is to resist him and he will flee from you.
If Christ has redeemed you, then you have an assignment to crush every work of the enemy. Arise and cut short every satanic machination that is against you. Arise in prayers against the hand of the enemy that is stretched against you. Wherever there is a seat of satan around you, stretch forth the sword of the Lord and cut it down. No matter the diversity of the manifestation of the enemy, cut it short before it blossoms.
Don’t let the enemy confuse you with seven heads. If he arises like a flood, then arise and resist him. If the enemy arises, use the power of God at work in you to counter the enemy.
James 4: 7 says: “…Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
Declare With Me: No matter the manifestation of the enemy, he will go down under my watch, in Jesus’ name!
