NO REDUCTION

“And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.”(Mark 10: 46)


That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.


Our Focal Scripture speaks of blind Bartimaeus, who was the son of Timaeus. Like we earlier observed, the name ‘Timaeus’ means ‘honour’. So, Bartimaeus was the son of ‘Honour’, but he ended up blind, and consequently, became a beggar. Someone who ought to be surrounded by honour, descended to blindness and further down to begging. The already battered destiny of Bartimaeus was being reduced from blindness to begging.


Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: your destiny will not be reduced. You will not move from honour to dishonour. You will not move from high places to low places. You will not move from privileged places to unprivileged places. You will not move from being advantaged to being disadvantaged. You will not move from being the favoured one to being disfavoured. You will not go down the perking order.


Hear me as I hear the Lord: in this season, your life will not go down the drains. You will not have a better yesterday. Your life will not advertise the triumph of the enemy. You will not be an example of one who moved from bad to worse. Your situations will not become more and more complicated. You will not suffer more misfortune than you earlier suffered. You will not be counted amongst them that are stranded in destiny.


Instead of destiny reduction, I decree that your light will shine brighter and brighter. You will move from strength to strength and from glory to glory. You will advance against all odds. Every roadblock on the path of your advancement is removed. Every storm that wants to swallow you will turn around and take you higher. You will not be counted amongst them that moved backwards instead of forward. No reduction is allowed.


The days of destiny reduction, are over in your life. You will no longer go down. You will go higher and higher.


Isaiah 60: 20 says: “Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.”


Declare With Me: My destiny will not be reduced, in Jesus’ name!
