NO FRUITLESS EFFORTS

“The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.” (John 5: 7)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, the man at the pool of Bethesda made mention of the efforts he had invested in order to receive his healing at the pool. He had made efforts again and again, but someone else got there before him. He had tried severally but did not succeed. He had spent years waiting for his miracle, but he remained empty handed. He had done the much he could, in the circumstance, but everything was abortive.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: your labour will not be in vain. Your efforts will not be fruitless. Every energy you are investing in order to make progress will not end in shame or pain. It will never be said that you tried severally but never succeeded. It will never be said that you spent years on the same issues but never made progress. It will never be said that your matter swallowed resources again and again, yet nothing changed.

I pray for you: your labour in this season will not be in vain. You will not be caught in the cycle of wasted efforts. You will not spend resources in vain. You will not work hard in vain. You will not struggle in vain. You will not do your best, in vain. You will not seek divine intervention in vain. You will not pray in vain. You will not burn the midnight candle in vain. You will never be referred to as that one who tried, but didn’t succeed.

Jesus showed up at Bethesda, and He ended the cycle of wasted efforts in the life of that man. Jesus showed up, and put an end to the cycle of wasted efforts. Hear me as I hear the Lord: the cycle of wasted efforts, is broken. The season of wasted efforts, has ended. The burden of wasted efforts, is broken forever from your life. You will no longer be counted amongst those whose efforts are without results.

Welcome to your season of fruitful efforts. Welcome to that season where your efforts will never ever be in vain.

Isaiah 65: 23 says: “They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.”

Declare With Me: My efforts will never be in vain; the cycle of wasted efforts is broken, in Jesus’ name!
