NO EXCHANGE

“And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money.” (1 Kings 21: 2)


That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.


Our Focal Scripture speaks of that moment when Ahab reached out to Naboth in respect of Naboth’s vineyard. Ahab wanted to own Naboth’s vineyard, and possibly pay him money or give him another vineyard. Notice that this vineyard was Naboth’s inheritance from his fathers. So, Ahab wanted to take what belonged to Naboth and give him a replacement. Ahab thought to exchange the vineyard of Naboth with something else.


Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: your inheritance will not be exchanged. Your greatness will not be diverted. Your resources will not be exchanged. Your opportunities will not be exchanged. Your good news will not be exchanged. Your congratulations will not be exchanged. Your open doors will not be exchanged. There will be no demonic exchange of whatever the Lord has called your own. There will be no exchange of destiny.


The vineyard of Naboth was an inheritance from his fathers. If he gave it out or sold it like Ahab desired, what would he have given to his own offspring? So, this was an exchange that was to rob the next generation of their portion. Hear me as I hear the Lord: every demonic exchange that is intended to rob your next generation of their portion, I decree, it will not stand. Your family’s greatness will not be exchanged.


If Jesus has redeemed you, then your life is hid in Christ, and Christ in God. Your destiny is not available for satanic exchange. Your health will not be exchanged with sickness. Your wealth will not be exchanged with poverty. Your relevance will not be exchanged with obscurity. Your celebrations will not be exchanged with bitter tears. The glory on your life will not be exchanged. The favour of God upon your life will not be exchanged.


Welcome to that season where nothing that God has put in your hands will be exchanged. Welcome to that season where there will be no satanic exchange.


Matthew 13: 25 says: “But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.”


Declare With Me: What the Lord has put in my hands will not be exchanged, in Jesus’ name!
