“And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? arise, and eat bread, and let thine heart be merry: I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.” (1 Kings 21: 7)


That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.


In our Focal Scripture, Jezebel promised to hijack the vineyard of Naboth and give same to Ahab. It began with the issue of possession of land, but it ended up as a battle for the life of Naboth. A battle for human possession suddenly became a battle for human life. A mere tussle or business transaction that could have ended amicably, soon led to the loss of the life of Naboth. A battle for inheritance led to the loss of life.


Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: no battle for material things will end in a loss of life. No battle for things that money can buy will lead you to losing your own life. Your life will not be swallowed in the pursuit of human achievements. Your life will not be lost in any tussle in the market place. Your life will not be lost in any tussle for supremacy. Your life will not be swallowed by any business transaction. You will not die for nothing.


What began as Ahab’s negotiation for Naboth’s vineyard, eventually ended in Jezebel’s plot against the life of Naboth. Naboth would have thought that there was still a negotiation, only to end up losing his life to a high wired attack by Jezebel. Hear me as I hear the Lord: transactions in the market place will not turn around to become a snare for your life. Transactions in the market place will not turn deadly against your destiny.


Any satanic system, or satanic man, that wants to turn your marketplace activity into an attack for death, let fire answer. Any wicked man who wants to turn ordinary disagreements, into an attack against your life, let fire answer. Any man who will mention your name in satanic altars, because of marketplace transactions, let fire answer. Any man who wants to go after your life because of human possessions, let fire answer.


Your life is hid in Christ, and Christ in God; and no satanic altar will swallow your life. No transaction of men will swallow your life.


Numbers 23: 23 says: “Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!”


Declare With Me: No transaction of men will swallow my life, in Jesus’ name!
