NO DEATH

“And he reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria.” (1 Kings 16: 32)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, Ahab reared up an altar for Baal following his marriage to Jezebel. He created a location for Baal and Baal worship. In bible times, Baal worship often involved human sacrifice of offspring. Parents often had to sacrifice their children in order to please Baal. Put differently, what Jezebel brought into Israel was a system that caused people to lose their next generation. It was a system of death of children.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: in 2026, you will not lose your children. You will not lose your loved ones. You will not bury and you will not be buried. The enemies will not swallow the lives of your younger generation. It will never be said that you lived to cast your young. It will never be said that you buried your children instead of the other way round. It will never be said that your next generation died prematurely.

Baal worship didn’t mean that children just died; it meant that children were sometimes sacrificed. It meant that death was an appeasement to Baal. Hear me as I hear the Lord: powers of hell that say they will only be appeased when your children die, I decree, they will not prevail. I silence every voice of death crying out for the blood of your children. I silence every voice calling for death in your domain. I silence voices of death.

Jesus went to the cross so that the curse of death can be broken. Jesus paid the price so that you will not have to pay again with the blood of your offspring. Jesus paid so that you will not need your children to die for you to have peace. The season of premature death is over. Your next generation will be counted amongst them that lived to a ripe old age. Your seed will live to fulfil their days. Your seed will not be swallowed or cut short.

Welcome to that season where there will be no death of your offspring. Welcome to a new season of no death in your family.

Exodus 23: 26 says: “There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.”

Declare With Me: There shall be no death of my offspring; I will not bury and I will not be buried, in Jesus’ name!
