DAILY DEVOTIONAL

Everyday, we bring you the Streams of Joy devotional to enable you start your day soaked in God's Word and declaring God's counsel over your life.

NO DEATH

“For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him.” (Luke 8: 42)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Our Focal Scripture makes mention of the fact that the daughter of Jairus was only twelve years old when she lay at the point of death. The spirit of death came to the family of Jairus, to take away a young maiden who was only twelve years old. Death came calling and the target was a young girl who was yet to fulfill her days and years. What was about to come to the family of Jairus was a case of untimely death. A budding, unfulfilled destiny was about to be cut short abruptly.

Friend, I pray for you: your destiny will not be cut short. There will be no untimely death in your domain. You will not bury and you will not be buried. You will not be counted amongst them that stopped their journey on the way. You will not be counted amongst them who did not fulfill their days. You will not be counted amongst them who did not live to a ripe old age. You will not cast your young. There will be no infant of days.

The daughter of Jairus was only twelve years old, with a huge future ahead of her, but death came calling too soon. Hear me as I hear the Lord: the days when you buried your young, are over. The days when the older generation would bury the younger generation, are over. The days when it will be said that you had your journey stop on the way, are over. The days when it will be said that the young did not fulfill their years, are over.

I pray for you: your destiny will not be cut short. Challenges that cut short the lives of others will not cut short your life. Battles that consume others will not consume you. Diseases that cause others to die young will not come your way. You will not die but live and declare the works of the Lord in the land of the living. You will not be counted amongst them that suddenly dropped dead. The enemy will not prevail over your life.

Welcome to that season where the gates of hell are not permitted to prevail over you. Welcome to that season where the power of death and the grave is broken over your life.

Isaiah 65: 20 says: “There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.”

Declare With Me: My destiny will not be cut shot; there will be no infant of days around me, in Jesus’ name!
