LEAVE THE SEPULCHER

“And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.” (Matthew 28: 8)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Our Focal Scripture speaks of that moment when the women departed from the sepulcher speedily. They were done with their conversation with the Angel of the Lord, and they left the sepulcher speedily. Sepulchers are graves, burial places for the dead; they are like dead places; these women arose and walked away from the place of death; they walked away from dead places; they walked away from a place where there was no life.

Friend, if it is a place of death, walk away from it. If it is a place that does not support living, walk away. If it is a relationship that puts the values in you to death, walk away. If it is an environment that makes you displease God, walk away. If it is an arrangement that opens the door of negativity in your life, walk away. If it is a connection that disconnects you from your destiny assignment, be wise to walk away quickly.

These women went to the sepulcher because they forgot the word of the Lord that said Jesus would rise on the third day. They journeyed to the place of death because they forgot His word. When you dwell in the place of death, chances are that you have forgotten what the Lord said. When you dwell in dead places, you lose sight of what God is about to do. When you dwell in dead places, you disconnect from your destiny mandate.

It was when these women left the sepulcher that they eventually found Jesus. They made a greater destiny connection when they departed out of a dead place. There are major destiny connections waiting for you, if only you are willing to leave the sepulcher. There are major congratulations waiting for you if you break out of the siege of the sepulcher. You may not see the fulfillment of God’s plan, until you leave the sepulcher.

Don’t dwell in dead places; don’t dwell in places where God has left; don’t settle for environments that do not give life to your destiny mandate. Arise and leave the sepulcher.

Isaiah 52: 2 says: “Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.”

Declare With Me: I walk away from every dead place; I will not remain where God has left, in Jesus’ name!
