IT’S YOUR SET TIME

“And the seventh year Jehoiada sent and fetched the rulers over hundreds, with the captains and the guard, and brought them to him into the house of the LORD, and made a covenant with them, and took an oath of them in the house of the LORD, and shewed them the king's son.” (2 Kings 11: 4)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Our Focal Scripture speaks of that moment when at the seventh year, the priest sent for the royal and palace guards, preparatory to the enthronement of Joash. Joash had been in hiding for six years, but in the seventh year was the time of his enthronement. He had been in hiding, but a new season was about to be birthed. He had been in hiding, but destiny was about to unfold. In the seventh year, his enthronement became his reality.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: it is your set time for enthronement. The Lord has remembered you. It is your set time to step into the place that God made for you. It is your set time to embrace the fullness of God’s plan for your life. It is your set time to overtake and take over. It is your set time to rise to your high places. It is your set time to break forth on all sides. It is your set time for the fulfillment of prophecies on your life.

Six years had passed by, and it would have seemed that nothing was going to come forth from the life of Joash; but in the seventh year, everything came to life. In the seventh year, the arrangements for his kingship were made, and everyone aligned. Hear me as I hear the Lord: in your set time, everything and everyone will align. In your set time, arrangements for your rising will happen even without you asking for it.

When the seventh year arrived, there was no conversation about the six years that Joash spent in hiding. He was simply shown to the guards and made king. It is your set time; your days of obscurity are no longer an issue. Whatever happened in time past that kept you in hiding has been overtaken by your impending enthronement. The matter of your wasted years will be swallowed by what the Lord will do in your set time.

Your days in obscurity have ended. Your days in hiding have ended. Your days in irrelevance have ended. It is your time to sit on the throne and wear your crown.

Psalm 102: 13 says: “Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.”

Declare With Me: It is my set time for enthronement; the days of hiding are over, in Jesus’ name!
