HELP IS WAITING

“But Jehosheba, the daughter of king Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king's sons which were slain; and they hid him, even him and his nurse, in the bedchamber from Athaliah, so that he was not slain.” (2 Kings 11: 2)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, whilst Athaliah was wiping out the entire seed royal, help came the way of Joash. Jehosheba rescued Joash and prevented him from being killed alongside other members of the royal family. When it seemed that everyone’s back was against the wall, help came the way of Joash. When it seemed that Athaliah’s wicked plan was about to come to pass, help came the way of Joash. Before tragedy came, help located Joash.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: before tragedy beckons, help will be waiting. Before embarrassment comes calling, help will be waiting. Before you are caught in the midst of issues you cannot easily come out from, help will be waiting. Before you become a laughing stock in the midst of your contemporaries, help will be waiting. Before you become that one that will be sidelined, help will be waiting. Help will be laid on your pathway.

Before Athaliah could lay her wicked hands on Joash, help already came. Notice that in the case of Samson, his brethren only came after he had died (see Judges 16). For Samson, help came late; but for Joash, help came early. Hear me as I hear the Lord: your help will come very early. The help that God is sending your way will come when it can still make a difference. The help coming to you will come before the enemy prevails.

Help came the way of Joash, and he was preserved and eventually became king. More helpers arose on his behalf after the first level of help he received. Hear me as I hear the Lord: God has planted help on your way already, and that help will count in your destiny matters. The help coming your way will birth more help. The help that is coming to you will lead to your preservation and eventual enthronement.

Welcome to that season where help will be waiting. Welcome to that season where El Roi will cause you to receive help that will birth more help.

Psalm 46: 5 says: “God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.”

Declare With Me: Help has been laid for me; God will send me early help; my help will birth more help, in Jesus’ name!
