FROM BOTTLES TO WELLS

“And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.” (Genesis 21: 19)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

When Hagar was being sent away from the home of Abraham, she got a bottle of water. It was not long before her bottle of water was spent. Notice that when God would intervene, He didn’t just get her another provision of a bottle of water. God opened the eyes of Hagar, and she saw a well of water. She began with a bottle of water, but she progressed to having a well of water. Hagar moved from mere bottles to wells.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: in 2026, you are moving from bottles to wells. You are moving from little, to many. You are moving from small provisions to large provisions. You are moving from having just enough for your yourself, to having more than enough to sustain others. You are moving from mere personal sustenance to being able to sustain others. You are moving from having supplies that can run out, to supplies that won’t run out.

The same thing that made Hagar shed tears, God caused her to have it in so much abundance. The same thing she cried about, God caused her to get a supply that would never make her cry about the same thing. Hear me as I hear the Lord: whatever limited supplies that have made you cry, God is about to give you unlimited supplies so much that you will never cry about same thing again. What you have cried about, you shall have in abundance.

The days of not having enough, are over. The days of crying over limited supplies, are over. The days of losing hope because of insufficient resources, are over. The days of looking for who will give you mere bottles of water, are over. In this season, your bottles are replaced with wells. Your little is being replaced with much. Your lack is being replaced with abundance. Your empty bottles are being replaced with full wells.

Welcome to that new season where the things you once cried about will never embarrass you again. Welcome to that season where you are moving from bottles to wells.

2 Corinthians 9: 8 says: “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:”
