FORGET THE NAYSAYERS

“12. And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, 13. Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.” (Matthew 28: 12-13)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Our Focal Scripture speaks of the false narrative that was put in place by the elders, to suggest that Jesus did not really rise from the dead. They paid money to the soldiers, and asked them to say that Jesus’ disciples came by night and took His body away while they slept. They created a story to counter the reality of what God had done. They created a lie against what God had done. They twisted the narrative of what God did.

Friend, there are naysayers willing to counter the narrative of what God has done. There are people willing to spew lies about what God is doing in your life. Some people are willing to create stories just to undermine the hand of the Lord at work in your life. Some fellows are willing to create false tales about the progress you have made. Some are willing to say you did things you didn’t do. Some are willing to paint you in bad light, for nothing.

The false tales they created about Jesus’ resurrection did not change the fact that Jesus had risen from the dead. The lies they told did not change the fact of what God already did. Hear me as I hear the Lord: no matter the lies that are spewed against you, nothing will change the reality of what God has done in your life. No matter how men create false narratives against you, the will of God concerning your life will stand.

Stop paying attention to your naysayers. Stop paying attention to the people who see nothing good in you. Stop paying attention to those whose priority is to undermine what God is doing in your life with their words. The same way the words and lies of the elders did not change the fact of Jesus’ resurrection, no quantum of words or lies or negative narratives will change the divine outcomes that God already predestined in your life.

Welcome to that season where the words of naysayers will never change a thing around you. Welcome to that season where no negative narrative will undermine what the Lord has done in your life.

Psalm 86: 17 (CEV) says: “Show that you approve of me! Then my hateful enemies will feel like fools, because you have helped and comforted me.”

Declare With Me: The words of my naysayers will never undermine or scuttle what the Lord has done in me, in Jesus’ name!
