FIND ANOTHER WAY

“And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.” (Matthew 2: 12)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

When the wise men were warned by God against their earlier plan to go back to Herod, they went back to their country through another way. They got a divine revelation regarding their interactions with Herod, and they had to find another way to go back without tipping off Herod. They already had a way they came through, but when divine revelation came, they sought for another way to avoid Herod. They used another way.

Friend, one wisdom you must glean as you move from 2025 to 2026, is the wisdom of discovering another way. Discover another way to do the things you need to do. Discover what needs to be done differently. Discover other options for the works of your hands. Discover other options on how to achieve whatever you already achieved this year. Discover another way to achieve your goals in 2026. Tweak your strategies and use another way.

The wise men were trying to avoid Herod, and they chose to go back through another way. They used another way to avoid falling into the trap of Herod. Sometimes, using another way is the only way to avoid falling into the trap of the old. Using another way could be your only way to beat the negativity that is waiting for you if you used the same way. Using another way is to open the doors to new realities that advance you.

There is a generation that will be fed up with you in 2026 if all they see is the same thing they saw in you all through 2025. There is a generation that seeks the new; there is a generation that seeks the freshness of unction and inspiration; there is a generation that is already fed up with the old, and is seeking to see another way. When situations require the new, please do not go back to the old. Don’t use the old way when another way is needed.

It's time for new dimensions of your destiny to be unveiled. It’s time to show the ‘Herod’s of this world that there is another way to move.

John 3: 8 says: “The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.”
