EARLIER THAN EXPECTED

“And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.” (Matthew 28: 9)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

As the women that came to Jesus’ sepulcher left to go and inform the disciples that Jesus would go ahead of them into Galilee, they met Jesus on the way. The idea was that they would meet Him in Galilee; that was the instruction they got from the Angel whom they met in the sepulcher; but even before they got to where the disciples were, Jesus showed up. What seemed like an appointment in Galilee came ahead of time.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: your evidence is coming earlier than expected. Your results are coming earlier than expected. The help of God is coming your way earlier than expected. The doors and gates that God is opening for you, will come earlier than expected. The expectations you imagine will be fulfilled much later in the year, will come earlier than expected. The hand of the Lord will bring your portion earlier than expected.

What was expected to happen in Galilee for others, happened on the way for the women. What was meant to happen in the future, was brought forward for them. Hear me as I hear the Lord: your good news has been brought forward. Your congratulations have been brought forward. Your celebrations have been brought forward. Your rising has been brought forward. Your enthronement has been brought forward.

Powers that say your portion will be delayed, I decree, you are not their candidate. Powers that say you will wait until the appointed time before you ever get what is due you, I say no. If there be powers of delay, from the pit of hell, then there can be powers from heaven, that make miracles come earlier than expected. If God be for you, you will not need to wait until the fullness of time. Your portion is being fast-tracked.

Welcome to that season where your portion will come to you earlier than expected. Welcome to that season where the fulfillment of the word of the Lord in your life will be brought forward.

Psalm 90: 14 says: “O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.”
