DON’T WALK AWAY

“2. Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time. 3. And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life...” (1 Kings 19: 2-3)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

When Elijah was done with the exploit at Mount Carmel, and received the threat of Jezebel afterwards, he arose and fled for his life. Someone who had just done exploits at Mount Carmel, suddenly abandoned his assignment and fled for his life. Elijah was a prophet of God; he prayed on his knees until rain was restored in Israel; he had an assignment under God; but because of Jezebel, he fled from the place of his assignment.

The spirit of Jezebel is that spirit that drives a man away from the place where God has planted him. The spirit of Jezebel is that spirit that causes a man to wander away from his place of results, influence, relevance, etc. The spirit of Jezebel is that spirit that disconnects a man from his capacity. The spirit of Jezebel is that spirit that makes a man abandon his destiny mandate. The spirit of Jezebel is that spirit that makes a man leave his purpose.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every Jezebel that says you will walk away from your destiny mandate in 2026, let fire answer. Every Jezebel that says you will abandon your assignment in 2026, let fire answer. Every Jezebel that says you will abandon the place of your capacity and relevance, let fire answer. The hand of the Lord is against every Jezebel that wants you to leave the assignment that heaven has for you.

The threat of Jezebel caused Elijah to change location, from the place of his assignment, to the place of obscurity and irrelevance. Today, I pray for you: receive grace to go back to the assignment you abandoned; receive grace to return to your place in destiny; go back to your high places; go back to your family; go back to your ministry; go back to the greatness that heaven crafted for you; go back to your place of influence. Just go back.

This is not that year where it will be said that you simply did not stay where heaven planted you. This is not that year where it will be said that you left the mandate and assignment, and went into hiding.

Ephesians 6: 13 says: “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

Declare With Me: In 2026, I will not abandon my assignment and destiny mandate, in Jesus’ name!
