DEEPEN YOUR REVELATION

“And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.” (Mark 10: 47)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

When blind Bartimaeus heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth that was passing by, he cried out and he said, “Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy of me”. He heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, and he cried out and called out to Jesus son of David. ‘Jesus of Nazareth’ speaks to Jesus’ mortal birth; but ‘Jesus son of David’ speaks to His messianic status. The revelation of Bartimaeus was above what he heard. He had a deeper revelation.

Friend, what is your revelation of Jesus? What is the power dimension of your revelation of Jesus? Do you see Him as just one to walk with, or as one who has capacity to turn your story around? Are you limited by what you have heard about Him, or is your mind open to who He truly is, beyond what any man can say to you about Him? Who is Jesus to you? How has your revelation affected your expectation? What is your revelation?

Bartimaeus called out to the messianic dimension of Jesus, and Jesus came to his rescue. He called on the Jesus that had power to save, and Jesus saved him right away. What he understood about Jesus became the basis for what Jesus did for him. Your understanding of Jesus will create the atmosphere for what He will do in your life. Jesus’ power is limitless, but your faith in Him might just be the deciding factor in how He manifests in your life.

Deepen your revelation of Jesus. Don’t limit yourself to the level of revelation that people around you have about Jesus. Don’t allow your faith to be limited to and by what people around you feel or say about Jesus. Jesus is much more than anyone says He is. He has power to heal you; He has power to turn your life around; He has power to bring your destiny back on course; He has power to make you to become another man.

Embrace the Jesus that is full of power, above what men say He is. Deepen your revelation of Jesus, and you will see the depth of His manifestation increase around you.

Ephesians 1: 18 says: “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,”

Declare With Me: Jesus is magnified in my life; my miracle shall exceed the words of men about Jesus, in Jesus’ name!
