CLOSE TO ROYALTY

“And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money.” (1 Kings 21: 2)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Our Focal Scripture speaks of that moment when Ahab told Naboth to give up his vineyard, because it was close to his palace. So, Naboth had a choice vineyard that was close to the house of Ahab. Naboth had a location that had proximity to royalty. Naboth had a choice location that put him in close proximity with royalty, and that was what Ahab sought to change. Ahab sought to keep Naboth far away from royalty.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every man that shall arise to disconnect you from royalty, let fire answer them. Any man who says you will have no connection whatsoever with kings and nobles, let fire answer them. Any man that will arise to push you away from your vantage position around the thrones and crowns of this world, let fire answer them. Any man that wants to chase you away from your place, let fire answer them.

By the words of Ahab, he was to take the vineyard of Naboth because among other things, it was close to his house. It seemed that Ahab had a problem with letting Naboth retain his vineyard because it was situated close to the palace. Hear me as I hear the Lord: every system of men or of hell that wants to rob you of every advantaged position around the palaces of this world, let the judgement of God fall upon them.

If you have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus, then you are a royal priesthood, and you are seated with Christ in heavenly places, above principalities and powers. If Jesus has redeemed you, then you are the royalty that men should chase after. If Jesus has redeemed you, then you are connected to God and to His throne, far above the thrones of men and of earthly kings. If God be for you, the thrones of this world will never be against you.

Welcome to that season where you will not be disconnected from royalty. Welcome to that season where you will never lose your place.

Matthew 5: 14 says: “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.”

Declare With Me: Every vantage position that heaven has given me, I will not lose it, in Jesus’ name!
