BURN BY FIRE

“Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.” (Matthew 13: 30)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, the householder ordered that the tares be gathered, and bound in bundles to be burnt. The fact that the tares were to be burnt, meant that fire was to be involved. So, the tares that were planted by the enemy were to be dealt with by fire. Fire was going to be the antidote to the efforts of the enemy. Fire was going to clear the way for the harvest to come forth. Fire was going to settle the works of the enemy.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: concerning every work of darkness that the enemy has done against you, fire will answer. The fire of God will answer to every wicked lie that has been told against you. The fire of God will settle every wickedness that wants to swallow you. The fire of God will crumble every system of hell that wants to crumble you. The fire of God will clear every wickedness the enemies of your destiny put in place.

The enemy came in the dark and sowed tares, and went his way; but the householder announced that the tares will be burnt. What was planted in secret was going to be burnt in the open. Hear me as I hear the Lord: whatever the enemy has cooked in secret against you, the Lord will expose and disgrace them in the open. Whatever they planted in the dark will be burnt by fire, in the open. Whatever they cooked against you will fail in the open.

Out God is a consuming fire. God's identity is fire. When God arises, opposition crumbles. When God arises, fire clears the way. When God arises, negativity is put to flight. When God arises, arrangements of hell are burnt to ashes. When God arises, fire will enter into the camp of your adversaries. When God arises, He will rain down fire on every destroying mountain that has arisen against you.

Welcome to that season where the Lord will go forth like a fire, to destroy every wickedness of the wicked. Welcome to that season where fire will clear the way.

Jeremiah 51: 25 says: “Behold, I am against thee, O destroying mountain, saith the LORD, which destroyest all the earth: and I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and roll thee down from the rocks, and will make thee a burnt mountain.”

Declare With Me: Every tare that is planted against me, burn by fire; fire has cleared the way, in Jesus’ name!
