BLESSED IN DUE TIME

“And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.” (Exodus 1: 21 NIV)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
According to our Focal Scripture, because the Hebrew midwives feared God, He gave them families of their own. By the rendition of scripture, it does appear that the midwives did not have families. They refused to kill the children of other women as desired and instructed by Pharaoh, and God blessed them by giving them families of their own. They refused to truncate the joy of other families, and God gave them their own.
Friend, don’t be part of that generation that kills the same ‘families’ you are yet to have. Don’t be a messenger of death in the miracles of others that you are yet to have. Don’t be part of those that scatter what has come to others. Don’t be part of those who destroy what God did for others, because He is yet to do same for you. Don’t make the mistake of truncating the portion of another man, when you are still expecting your portion.
Don’t kill the portion of others because it has not come to you. Don’t wreak havoc in the destinies of others, especially in matters where you are still expecting God to show up for you. Don’t be that midwife that will bring bitter tears to others. Don’t be that one that will hurt others who received what you are yet to receive. Don’t be a messenger of pain and trepidation against people whom God smiled upon.
God allowed midwives who did not have families yet, to decide the fate of other families; and when they did well, He caused them to have their own families. How they treated those blessed ahead of them, triggered their own blessing. Don’t be wicked and toxic to those who have received the blessings you are yet to receive. Just maybe, God is watching to see how you treat others who have been blessed, before your blessing comes.
Don’t be counted amongst those who speak against the blessings of others, when yours is yet to come your way. Treat blessed people right, and your own portion will come.
Galatians 6: 9 says: “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
Declare With Me: I will be kind to those blessed ahead of me; my own blessing is coming, in Jesus’ name!
