BEHIND THE SCENES

“So she wrote letters in Ahab's name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters unto the elders and to the nobles that were in his city, dwelling with Naboth.” (1 Kings 21:8)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Our Focal Scripture reveals the strategy that Jezebel used to forcefully take over the vineyard of Naboth. Jezebel wrote letters in the name of Ahab; she sealed them with his seal, and she sent the letters to the elders and nobles in the city. Those men would have received those letters thinking that they truly came from Ahab, but they had no idea that this was Jezebel using the name of Ahab for her evil scheme.

The spirit of Jezebel is that spirit that hides behind the throne to wreak havoc. The spirit of Jezebel is that spirit that uses the paraphernalia of the throne to oppress unsuspecting people. The strategy of Jezebels, is to hide behind the seal of the king; you would imagine that you have a problem with the king, without knowing that there is a Jezebel that has chosen to use the king against you. Jezebels hide behind the scenes to cause pain.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every Jezebel that is hiding behind the scenes to cause you pain, I decree, let them be exposed and destroyed. Let the hand of the Lord be stretched forth against every messenger of hell that wants to hide in secret and cause you pain and shame in the open. Let the whirlwind of God sweep away everyone that is hiding behind the scenes to plot against you. Let fire answer to every secret plotter against you.

The elders and nobles would have thought that they were carrying out the instructions of Ahab while trying to destroy Naboth, without knowing that they were being tricked by Jezebel to deal with a man who did nothing wrong. This was the same way Herodias manipulated her daughter to ask for the head of John the Baptist. Hear me as I hear the Lord: if they ever plot in secret against you, El Roi will disgrace them in the open.

The days of being plotted against from secret places, is over. No wicked Jezebel will hide behind the scenes to cause your pain and shame.

Jeremiah 30: 23 says: “Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.”

Declare With Me: Every Jezebel hiding behind the scenes to cause me paid, let fire answer, in Jesus’ name!
