YOU WILL SOAR

“13. And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. 14. And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place...” (Revelations 12: 13-14)


That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.


In verse 6 of our Scripture Reading, the woman that birthed a man child, fled into the wilderness where a place had been prepared for her by God. In our Focal Scripture, when the dragon was cast down, he persecuted the woman. The dragon went after the woman. Notice that the woman was given the wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness. She was given wings so that she could move faster than her feet could carry her.


Friend, wherever your journey is threatened and your speed is not enough, receive the wings of the eagle to fly into your promised land. Receive the wings of an eagle to rise higher and faster than your stubborn pursuers. Receive the grace to move faster than your opposers. Receive grace to move into every place that God prepared for you. Receive grace to enter into your rest. Receive grace to move with uncommon speed.


This woman was given the wings of a great eagle, so that she could escape the dragon and arrive at her destination speedily. It is time for you to operate with the wings of an eagle. When a man operates with the wings of an eagle, whatever he cannot achieve comes by the help of God. When a man operates with the wings of an eagle, divine speed becomes his portion. When a man gains the wings of eagles, he soars instead of walking.


Notice that this woman began her journey into the wilderness on foot, at the time when the dragon was yet to be cast down. As soon as the dragon was cast down, with the possibility of the woman becoming vulnerable, she was given wings to fly and beat the dragon to it. You may have begun your journey on foot, but in these final days of 2025, receive wings to move faster. Receive wings to outpace the dragon.


Welcome to your season of faster movements. Welcome to that season where you will outrun the dragon.


Isaiah 40: 31 says: “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”


Declare With Me: I mount up with wings as eagles, in Jesus’ name!
