FAVOURED BY KINGS

“Then the king answered and said, Give her the living child, and in no wise slay it: she is the mother thereof.” (1 Kings 3: 27)


That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.


As we close our meditations on the contention between the two women who came to Solomon, one thing is noteworthy: by the judgement of Solomon, the woman who was the true owner of the living child was eventually given back her child. The one who had the dead child was not able to deceive the king into giving her the living child. The king’s judgement favoured the woman who deserved to have her child restored to her.


Friend, I pray for you: may the judgement of kings be in your favour. May the judgement and assessment of those in power be in your favour. May the judgement of the kings of this world cause you to have what is rightly yours. May you be favoured by people who bear rule over you. May you be favoured by those who are in charge of the territories you operate in. May you be at the favoured end of every man who is in charge.


The judgement of Solomon gave the woman who was the real mother of the living child, what she rightly deserved. The government of the day offered her what she sought to achieve as she came before the king. I pray for you: may the kings that bear rule over you become messengers that will deliver your expectations to you. May the kings of this world cause you to have the best out of their leadership. May they deliver your portion.


King Solomon did not proclaim a judgement that was defective; he didn’t proclaim a judgement that robbed the mother of the living child of that which belonged to her. Hear me as I hear the Lord: the kings of this world are forbidden from issuing judgements, policies and proclamations that will cause you to suffer loss. The kings of this world are barred from causing you to lose what is yours.


Welcome to that season where the kings of this world will be messengers that will do you good and execute God’s will for you. Welcome to that season where the kings of this world will work in your favour.


Isaiah 60: 10 says: “And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.”


Declare With Me: The kings of this world will work in my favour; their policies/judgement won’t hinder me, in Jesus’ name!
