BLOCK IT

“But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive.” (Exodus 1: 17)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

The midwives in our Focal Scripture were instructed by Pharaoh to kill all the male newborns of the children of Israel. The idea was that women would come to the place of birth without knowing that a word had been given ahead of time to kill their male babies. People were to go home empty-handed if they had sons. The midwives decided, at their own personal risk, to scuttle Pharaoh’s plan. They stood on the way and blocked evil.

Friend, can heaven count on you to be that 'midwife' that can block negativity? Be the midwife that scuttles the plan of hell. Be the midwife that prays people out of their issues. Be the midwife that helps people to escape what the enemy cooked for them. Be the midwife that hinders negativity. Be the midwife that stops evil from having a free pass in your family, city, workplace, nation, etc. Be a stopper of the plans of the enemy.

The midwives did not announce the evil plan of Pharaoh to the Hebrew women. They just blocked it. They didn’t announce that they blocked it. You need not announce to people that you prayed for them. Just block the negativity that is coming their way. Let heaven count on you to be the reason why some people will not shed bitter tears despite the attempts of the enemy. Be that midwife that is risking everything to give others life.

The Hebrew midwives could have been summarily executed by Pharaoh for not doing his bidding. They could have been caught in the midst of a battle because they chose to block the evil that was coming to others. Can it be said that you are the one who arose to block the negativity that was coming to others around you? Can it be said that you blocked negativity from coming to people you may not even know? Can you be the blocker of evil?

Arise as a watchman; wage war against the enemy on the behalf of people who may never know and who may never even thank you. Be that one that will arise to block whatever the enemy is cooking against people.

James 5: 16 says: “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

Declare With Me: I arise and block the negativity that is coming to my generation, in Jesus’ name!
